The Delhi Cabinet on Monday approved threshold property rates for valuation of land and properties for the purpose of registration in different parts of the city, which has been divided into eight categories for the purpose.
Henceforth, any deal that is struck below the prescribed level will not be registered, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit told reporters after the meeting.
She added: New circle rate would simplify assessment of stamp duty and bring in transparency, simplicity and efficiency in the process of registration.
