Delhi Sena threatens to dig up Mohali pitch
The Shiv Sena on Sunday threatened it would dig up the cricket pitch in Mohali to protest against the Pakistan cricket team playing in India in the ICC Champions Trophy.
In a statement here on Sunday, Senas northern India incharge and Delhi unit president Jai Bhagwan Goyal said the party would not allow Pakistan to play in the country after the disclosures made recently by the Mumbai Police about the Inter Services Intelligences involvement in the July 7, Mumbai serial blast.
At a time when the Pakistani ambassador to the US had admitted that Islamabad supported terrorism in Kashmir and continued to give financial and military assistance including training to the terrorists, how can we talk friendship and sporting links? Goyal asked.
The Sena alleged the 17 Pakistani citizens who had come to watch cricket had gone missing and were even involved in the terrorist attack at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore hence demanded the Government to forthwith cancel the Pakistan-New Zealand match on October 25 at Mohali.
Otherwise our activists in Punjab and Haryana would be forced to go to any extent to stop the Pakistanis from playing on Indian soil, the Sena warned.

Unitech Ltd, India's second largest real estate developer, is looking at investing Rs 600 crore to develop and launch affordable houses under its Uni Homes brands across seven cities in the country.
The developer would launch these homes in the price range of Rs 10-30 lakh in Noida, Greater Noida, Chennai, Kolkata, Rewari, Bhopal and Mohali.

NEW DELHI: Police on Tuesday detained 39 members of the Shiv Sena and the Bajrang Dal when they staged protests and tried to disrupt Valentine's Day celebrations in the national capital.
The activists staged protests at three different places against Valentine's Day celebrations. Five women were among those detained by police.
