POLICE in India arrested four men overnight for their suspected involvement in a series of train blasts in Mumbai in July which killed 186 people and injured up to 900 others.
The detentions mean the police have now arrested more than a dozen people in connection with their probe into the attacks on July 11, when seven bombs exploded in packed rush-hour trains.
They did not say what role the men were suspected to have played in the attacks - the worst in more than a decade.
Law enforcement officials believe the pro-Pakistan militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba, which is fighting Indian rule in disputed Kashmir, played a role in the bombings. The outfit has denied involvement.
The men were idenitified as Mohammed Shafi, Shaikh Mohammed, Mohammed Majid and Abdul Vahiuddin, the Press Trust of India reported, quoting unnamed police sources.

A metro train caught fire early on Friday morning when it was on a trial run, an official said.
There were, however, no casualties or injuries as no commuter was present in the train during the incident.
According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials, the train caught fire at around 1.30 am near Shadipur metro station, on the Dwarka-Barakhamba route. Fire brigade officials doused the blaze within 20 minutes.

Mumbai, Feb. 1 (PTI): Indian Body Building Federation (IBBF) will hold a preparatory camp in New Delhi ahead of the Asian Games that will be held in Doha, Qatar.
The top three finishers in the nine weight categories in the recently concluded Mr India 45th Senior National Body Building Championship in Mumbai, will be selected for the camp.
The camp will be held under the supervision of 1988 Mr Universe and Padma Shri Premchand Degra of Punjab and Dronacharya Award winner Bhupendra Dhawan of Delhi.
