The 12th Delhi Book Fairs been on for a week and it had a little something for most everyone.

Im searching for competitive examinations books, said a young visiter. Im looking for horror books, said another young reader.

There were a couple of foreign stalls that were quite satisfied with the response.

French books are selling more - mainly textbooks. We are from Mauritius so we specialise in French books. Many teachers and students have bought these books, said Pramod from Editions De LOcean Indien.

Of course, he does admit that prices are on the higher side, because these books come all the way from Mauritius.

Down the aisle, the Pakistani stall has seen demand for all kinds of books, but they arent too excited to get requests for books in Hindi.

A lot of people ask us if we have Hindi books which we dont have, said the stall owner Ahmad Ali.

The eleventh edition of the Delhi Book fair opens on Saturday at the Pragati Maidan amidst a lot of fanfare.
