Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit laid the foundation stone of new Haj Manzil at Dwarka here on Tuesday. This new Haj House will be very near to the international airport, proposed metro station and Dwarka Inter state Bus terminus. The project is expected to be completed in 18 months.
The new complex would come up near the international airport and inter-state bus terminus. Delhi has traditionally been the biggest embarkation point for the Haj pilgrims from northern India and about 20,000 Haj Pilgrims come to Delhi annually to take their flight.
Inaugurating the New Haj Manzil Sheela Dixit said that the Delhi Government is determined to give every possible support to haj Pilgrims during their stay in Delhi. She said that it was not possible for the government to make arrangements for all the Hajis at the Haj Manzil near Asif Ali road.

The Haryana government Saturday announced it would set up a flower auction house of international standard in the state near Delhi.
Agriculture Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha, who recently visited the Netherlandss famous flower auction house Flora Holland said the facility proposed to be set up near Delhi will benefit hundreds of Haryana floriculture farmers.
He said the auction house will help floriculturists with excellent marketing facilities to send the flowers all over the country and abroad.
